About Me

I'm passionate about good writing of all kinds: the literary greats; a well-crafted amateur short story; top class journalism; a well-written blog; to paraphrase Charles Reade: anything that can make me laugh, make me cry, make me think. And why should you care what I have to say about the art and craft of writing? These are my credentials: I'm a widely published freelance writer. Since I started writing seriously about 15 years ago, I have had numerous articles and short stories published in an eclectic range of publications. I am currently concentrating on full-length non-fiction and fiction. I have one non-fiction book already published, one due out early 2006, and another one due at the end of the year. Getting a novel published is still an ambition that eludes me - but I'm working hard on it. 2007? Let's hope... I have been a tutor for a UK-based correspodence writing school for the past 11 years or so. In a past life I was a university tutor in English Literature, Language and Linguistics.
